I bought and read this book last year due to all the hype about some of the film being filmed here in Glasgow. I know the film is going to be nothing like the book, which is a shame as this is one of the most enjoyable books I have read in recent times. I recently re-read it while I was suffering from the cold and it held up to a second reading. It tells the story of the great zombie war that occurs sometime in the near future. It does this through a series of interviews with people that survived the war. Some of these people are soldiers, a bling Japanese gardener, a pilot and just every day people. You really get a sense of how the zombie apocalypse has had a massive effect on them and some of the interviews are pretty funny. I did laugh out loud quite a few times reading this book. If you like zombies, then this is an excellent read and highly recommended. The film will probably be a stinker.
