Will Bankhead has teamed up with Joy Orbison to start a new record label called Hinge Finger. This is the first release on the label. It’s an excellent record. The track above is a really druggy house track. There is another house track on the 12″, a hip hop one and a techno track. This is available to buy now, so I recommend that you do that. Check out the Hinge Finger mix below for some more great music.

Rush Hour records are releasing a compilation of house music by the Burrell Brothers. I had never really heard them before until Benji B played the above tune a few weeks ago. It was amazing! So jacking and tough. Some great house music from New York. Anyway, the Burrell Brothers were signed to Nu Groove Records, but sadly never hit the big time unlike other people on the same label. You can check out a mix of their music below. The compilation is due to drop soon on CD, digital download and 2 2×12″ packs. There is a promo 12″ doing the rounds at the moment.

My friend Graeme does these great little minimal comics. Click on the image above to visit his website dedicated to them. I think the one above is one of my favourite ones.
Silas SS12 Preview from Silas London on Vimeo. Nice to see a different kind of look book video.
I first heard this when Floating Points played it at Numbers‘ 8th Birthday party in July 2011. It blew the roof off the Sub Cub that night. There was a lot of cheering and slapping the roof. Gilles Peterson played this and it looks like Benji B has played another track from the 12″ on his show this week. Anyway, it seems like this is finally going to get a release on Lukid’s Glum label. It should be out at the end of February or beginning of March. You can listen to snippets of lots of tracks over at Samoyed’s Soundcloud page.

Kuedo is Jamie Vexd’s new recording name. This album is fantastic! All 808 drum beats at hyperspeed with Vangelis style synths. There is even a cover version of Pulsar’s End Title for Blade Runner. I really like how every time I listen to this album I pick out different tracks that I like. The cover art is by Annie Higgie. You can listen to the Kuedo Fact Mix below.
SYMMETRY / THEMES FOR AN IMAGINARY FILM by JOHNNY JEWEL, This album is due on the 10th of February on Italians Do It Better. I’m really looking forward to it. It is some great stuff. Soundtrack synth jams. Anyway, why not listen to the whole album above and then if you like it, you can buy it when it comes out. If you like John Carpenter and the Emperor Machine, then I think you will like this.
Trevor Jackson has compiled a compilation of post punk, industrial and EBM classics and rarities for Strut Records. It is out soon, but you can enjoy this little mix just now. You can check out the track listing over at the Strut website. It will be out as a 2CD set with a vinyl release as well.
