Another classic 80s tune. This is one of my favourite Madonna tracks. The club in Desperately Seeking Susan is supposed to have been The Funhouse, where the video for Confusion by New Order was filmed.
Another song I didn’t know there was a proper video for. I love the class BMX action in it.
I never knew there was a vide for this. I love this song. Super classic from the 80s. The video is a bit weird. What are those backing dancers about?
Liking the look and sound of this. Looking forward to see the full thing when Konx-om-Pax supports Seefeel at Glasgow School of Art Union on March the 21st.
Beyond Black Mesa from Brian Curtin on Vimeo. Thanks to Craig for sending me the link to this. It is excellent.
Nice little teaser for Bibio‘s new album out soon on Warp. I really enjoyed the last album he released.
After years of wanting to see this film I finally got round to watching it during the Christmas holidays. I really like the work of David Fincher and Zodiac had me excited it. It was about a serial killer that terrorised San Francisco in the 60s and 70s. I highly recommend this movie. Check out the trailer and then watch the film. It is a long one, but highly enjoyable. Its very gripping and there are some really tense parts in it. You are never really sure what is really going on with the police investigation and there are so many ways it could have gone and obviously did. Its really a film about obsession.
Yesterday was a sad day. Unfortunately Trish Keenan from Broadcast passed away. Here are some of my favourite Broadcast tracks. My thought go out to her family and friends.
I Found The F from Tender Buttons
Man Is Not A Bird from HaHa Sound
Unchanging Window from The Noise Made By People
Another tv show that I have watched while being unwell is Band Of Brothers. It follows a company of American paratroopers as they train and then fight their way through Europe during the Second World War. This is one of the best mini-series I have ever seen. Its really well filmed and I was surprised that most of the series was filmed on the one giant filming lot. It was also interesting to see behind the scenes. I like how it looks very washed out and although it is in colour, it feels like it is actually black and white due to the lack of colour.
