Check them out on their myspace page.

Be Kind, Rewind

I went to see Be Kind Rewind this weekend. Its pretty funny. Basically Mos Def works in a video store and his buddy Jack Black comes in and wipes up all the tapes, so they make their own versions of the movies. Its pretty funny, its also quite a sad film as well! If you like the work of Michel Gondry, then go and see it. Above is the sweded version of the trailer by Michel Gondry. Its pretty good.

The Black Dog – Radio Scarecrow

Well, the new Black Dog album should be out shortly on Soma and you can have a listen to the whole thing over at their website. It sounds pretty damn good so far.

Trevor Jackson and Four Tet on Beats in Space

Trevor Jackson and Four Tet were recently on Beats in Space. You can listen to it again over at the Beats in Space website. It should be pretty good. I’ve not had a chance to listen yet.

EDIT: I’ve just been listening to this and its really good! The Trevor Jackson mix is fantastic.

Dizzee Rascal in Newcastle

I went to see Dizzee Rascal in Newcastle at the weekend. I thought it was going to be rubbish, but I was wrong. Arrived to find Little Plastic halfway through their set. I didn’t think they were very good. They just seemed to be shouting and not really rapping in time to the beat. Sorry guys. NExt came Newham Generals, who were bloody awesome! Some cracking tunes and their tunes were heavy on the bass! Finally it came to Dizzee and he didn’t disappoint at all. He did all the big tunes from Boy In Da Corner and Maths + English and only a couple of tunes from Showtime. Oldskool was hella dope. The crowd were well into the show as well. All in all I had a really good time and thought it was an excellent gig. Well worth going to see him again. Anyway, enjoy the video for I Luv U.

Is Space Invader in Edinburgh?

Check out the Running Amok blog! It would be cool if he was in Edinburgh! Anyway, here is a look at his studio in Paris. I found it on Youtube.

Giallos Flame – House At The Edge Of The Dark

It seems like Giallos Flame have been dropped from DC Recordings. Oh well, I was looking forward to the album coming out on vinyl, but he has gone and done things himself and you can buy it straight from the man through his Myspace page! Brilliant. Not heard it yet, but the track you can listen to on the page is pretty scary! Awesome. Hoping to get this asap. Its more of the horror soundtrack stuff. All synths and amazing drums!

Oh yeah, its only a tenner as well.
