I’ve been listening to Daydream Nation alot recently and this is the video for Teenage Riot. I quite like this album and having never heard it this time last week I have been listening to it alot on my iPod on my way to and from work.

The Return of Gareth Bayliss

Seems like Gareth Bayliss has got himself a blogspot. I like the stuff he did for Deadly Avenger. Check it out. Leave him a comment, hire him for a job.

July’s Top Tens

July’s top tens are now up!

The Return Of Twisted Nerve

I’m quite excited to see the return of Twisted Nerve. Almost strictly vinyl! Get over there now, you can buy the Voice Of The Seven Woods album 3 weeks before it is due to come out. I bought it last night!

Death In Vegas – Scorpio Rising

[youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=X7FZttJmHHI]

This week I have been enjoying Scorpio Rising by Death In Vegas. It was the band’s third album which was released in 2003. It’s got a good mixture of songs on it and you may have heard the track Girls in Lost In Translation. I really like the final track, Help Yourself, which is an epic 10 minutes long, but truly beautiful. Hell, they even make Paul Weller sound pretty decent. Above is this video for Scorpio Rising which features Liam Gallagher on vocals.

The Flying Scotsman Speaks

[youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=c6MWojw1BFs]

I went to see The Flying Scotsman recently. I always remembered when Graeme Obree was doing the superman position in cycling when it happened. I guess I found it inspirational at the time. Anyway, I really enjoyed the film. It’s not so much about his cycling abilities but more about his battle with depression. Anyway, if you get the chance, go and see it.

Edan – Sagittarius Rap

Stones Throw Podcast Flyer

Hype! Edan has a new single and you can download it for free as part of the Stones Throw Podcast. What are you waiting for?

The Boredoms

Recently, I have been listening to The Boredoms quite alot (sorry Graeme). I just really enjoy their music, so I thought I would throw up some links for you to check out. There is www.boredoms.co.uk which is a little discography site and recommends some of their work. There is also the Wikipedia entry for The Boredoms as well.

I really like Super Roots 7 at the moment, check it out if you can.

Dizzee Rascal – Old Skool video

Yes, the video for Old Skool is finally here. This tune is wicked.
