I went to Liverpool at the weekend. It was good fun! Checked out some of the Biennial that is happening at the moment, but most of it seems to be kicking off this weekend. Oh well. Go to FACT and check out the mad strobe video installation thing! It’s really impressive. Managed to spend about twenty minutes in it. If it had been a bit warmer, I would have felt like I was in someone’s body flowing through the blood vessels.
I also checked out Lost Art, the skateboard shop, which had a sale on, so I bought a new shirt. It seemed to be pretty decent and sold alot of shoes. I guess skateboarding is about shoes these days. Oh well, anyway, they were pretty friendly in there and I regret not buying one of the shops own t-shirts. Oh well. I can’t remember what street the shop was on, but it was round the corner from Size?, which I also went into and saw a couple of nice pairs of trainers. If only I had some more money! I could have left with a couple of pairs of trainers.
Also checked out the bar Korova and some bands playing there. I thought it was maybe a bit big, but then I dunno? It seemed pretty decent, though it was the first time in a long time where the bouncer looked at me to see if I was cool enough to get in. Luckily he thought I was, little did he know the truth. They did have an excellent selection of beers though. Not sure about the food as I didn’t eat there. The downstairs venue was interesting. Check it out if you can. They have some excellent gigs there this weekend.
I also went to the Tate and a few other places. I recommend going to Liverpool. It seems like quite a good place. Apologies for the crap photos. Took them on my phone.
